Feeling homesick after her parents move to Japan without her, Sachiko searches for comfort and relief wherever she can find it. Upon discovering her mother’s old recipe box, the twenty-year-old suddenly feels inspired and resolves to learn how to cook traditional Japanese dishes. Before Sachi knows it, she is immersed in a new world of cultural togetherness that not only brings her closer to knowing her heritage, but also to knowing herself.
